On March 7, I hosted a Family Internet Night in Room 12. Nine families - about 25 people - attended. It was a wonderful time, great to share successes and challenges with such receptive and perceptive families. I will have more to say about this in the future, but I wanted to share the PowerPoint presentation that guided the evening
here. I did record the event. Not sure if it's worthy of a podcast. We'll see...

Great powerpoint and presentation, Mark! Glad you had such a good turnout. More schools need teachers like you, helping educate families as well as children! You have my vote for posting the recorded podcast! :-)
Thanks, Wesley. OK. Here it is.
Now, there are a few things I MUST say first. I simply hooked up a microphone to a computer on the side of the room - that I had installed Audacity on. So the sound quality is not great (computers humming, etc). I also compressed the audio - bandwidth considerations for school districts - to 2MB. For a 35 minute clip, that's not bad.
But hopefully, the main ideas and the spirit will come through. Not yet having the nerve to put it front and center, I posted it to Billy's blog on http://roomtwelve.com -
