"If you can't say something nice..."

"If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all."
- Thumper, quoting advice from his dad, when admonished for being critical, in Bambi.

So I have been very quiet here lately. I've been trying to put together a single positive sentence about my experiences with technology and education right now - and I just can't.

I will be able soon, I hope - but for now, I had to go to a different place to leave something nice. Here's a sweet love song from Alison Krauss that brightened my day:

It is hard to find positive things about the state of education in the US these days and throwing in technology just complicates the issues. Hang in there. Thanks for the uplifting music. When all else fails, there is always music.

Thanks very much for the encouragement Maria. It's important to know where to turn when things get ultra sticky. Music is never a bad choice - Mark

Mark,
You are speaking right to my heart today. Thank you for that. I am home from school today for just that reason, that words were said that were not nice...yada yada. I just want to stay here in my house for a bit.
Thank you.

This is such a great song. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down. Reading about your work with your primary students was one of the things that made me seriously consider switching from Intermediate to Primary this year.
